You can preview you design file at anytime by clicking on the "Play" icon on the top right corner:
After you click on the play icon, your design will play out like a video, without the need of user interaction. If your design has multiple paths, you will be asked to pick the path that you want to play on the left-hand side of the screen, like so:
The design will play until a path ends without being conncted to anything. During the play, you can always rewind it back to the start by clicking on the rewind button on the top right corner. You can also pause it by clicking on the pause button.
Note that Lottie animations are not frozen in place by the pause, but they will finish playing. Also, Lottie animations will play again from the beginning if you restart the play.
Starting paths for share and test
When sharing your design, or even just playing yourself, Botsociety will ask the viewer to pick any starting path. If the starting path is only one, Botsociety will automatically play the starting path. In this example, the path on the left is marked as the starting path, where the one on the right is not.
By default, Botsociety will make the first path you created as the only starting path. Starting paths are marked by a blue shadow in your canvas, like so:
You can mark or unmark any path as Starting Path. Just open the menu in the Path header like so:
And click on 'Starting path.
If you want users to actually try your bot and type phrases into it, click on buttons, etc, you can do that! Check out the Prototype mode feature.
Sharing a preview
When you are sharing your design, you can choose wheter to share your design as a Preview in Video or Interactive mode. Check out the dedicated Sharing a file chapter for more information.
Playing multimodal designs
During the Play mode, you will be able to see the conversational experience on all the devices that are available on your preset. For example, on a Google Assistant design where you’ve designed for a smart speaker, a smart display, and a smartphone, you will be able to see the experience played out on all three devices.
Using the device buttons, you can toggle between the different views. The device buttons are active if there are messages that are designed for that device.
