If you just signed up, you will automatically redirected to a screen that looks similar to the one shown below:
If this is not your first Design and you want to create a new one, click on the Plus Button Icon on the bottom right corner: And choose 'Design'.
You will see a page like this:
Choose the preset you’d like to begin designing for. You can choose from 'Official Presets,' which are built from our team and ready to use, 'Team Presets,' which are shared only with your team, 'My Presets,' which are your personal presets, or 'Botsociety 1 (Legacy),' which are the previous platforms that have been available on Botsociety.
You can also create your own preset by starting from scratch.
Keep it up. You’re doing great.
Once you’ve chosen the preset, click on Start Designing Button to begin working on your new conversation design.
If you’ve done everything correctly, you should see a screen that looks like this:
Conversations can usually follow multiple Paths. Botsociety gives you the ability to model this natural behavior by designing different conversational Paths.
At the beginning, the conversation will have one single Path of messages. A path is what you now see at the center of the screen.
The path is currently empty, so add some messages. It’s as simple as clicking on Bot Says and User Says.
Your first path is your happy path - the desired way that the conversation between the user and the bot will go. Click on Create path from the happy path or its messages to create a repair path – a path that is meant to account for user’s different answers, or, for example, to clarify what the bot can do.
While adding messages, you can utilize tools like SSML settings to make your voice messages have a specific tone, pitch, and more, and add utterances to demonstrate the different ways a user can express their answer.
Remember that each preset will have different message types, so you can pick more message types from this drop down in the message editor.
You can play your design and the paths by clicking on in the header. This will show you what the experience will look like once the bot is launched.
The path is placed in the design canvas which is structured like a flowchart and is infinite.
Once you have designed your messages, it’s time to get ready to export and launch your bot. To do this, switch to Build Mode by clicking the in the left vertical panel. Here, you will see build mode metadata on the same paths that you have built.
Choose the platform you want to export to and add metadata by naming intents and declaring variables. You can declare variables by selecting words in the messages.
Finally, click on Authenticate or Export based on the platform you are exporting to and follow the additional steps if necessary. If you did everything correctly, the export should be successful!
Keep an eye for any error messages which will help you resolve any issues with your export.
