Want to check your design out at scale? You can click the icon in the right-hand side of the toolbar at the top of the screen to check out a Flowchart of your current conversation design. It looks like this:
Let’s dig deep into it!
You can visualize your Flowchart in multiple ways. The first visualization that you can explore is whether you want to show a Flowchart of your messages or of your Paths.
To switch between the two modes, toggle the button at the top left:
Let’s see this in action. This is a conversation where Showing all messages has been enabled:
By enabling Showing Paths, the same conversation will be shown in a much more compact Flowchart:
Additionally, you can decide whether to show Links or not, by toggling these buttons at the top left:
The same conversation from before, showing Paths but not links, will result in this Flowchart:
Every flowchart will start from a message placeholder.
You can navigate the Flowchart and zoom in/out by using the navigation panel at the bottom right of the screen:
You can also zoom by using your mouse wheel or using a zoom gesture on a touchpad.
Sometimes your Flowchart will get very large and difficult to navigate. To help you find the right message at the right time, there is a convenient Search bar at the top right of the screen.
You can quickly focus on the Search bar by using the CTRL+F Keyboard shortcut.
Messages matching your query will be highlighted in red in the Flowchart:
Adding a Path
While showing messages, you can quickly create a Path by hovering over any message and click on the button that will appear on the right of the message.
Two small Bot says / User says buttons will appear. By clicking on either of these, you will open a New Message window.
Design your message and click on the button to add it to the Flowchart.
The new message will automatically be added to a new Path, starting from the previous highlighted message:
Zooming to a Message
You can quickly go back to a specific message in the conversation by clicking on the button that appears when hovering over any message in the Flowchart.
The Flowchart will close and you will be brought back to the editing mode at the specific point of the conversation that you selected.
Downloading the Flowchart as a PDF
At the top left, you can download a copy of your Flowchart in PDF format, by clicking on the button.
