Botsociety is looking for a Design Evangelist to join our dynamic, remote team. You can be anywhere on the West Coast (PST timezone).

Botsociety empowers creatives worldwide in designing voice and chat experiences. Our users have designed 4M+ messages on Botsociety, working on their next voice or chat interface project. We aim to be the next Adobe. By joining our team, you will help shape the creative suite of the future.

Our Enterprise clients include Fortune 500 companies such as Google, Accenture, and Air France, to name a few. We raised a seed round from Google and 500Startups. We have two teams, distributed on the PST and CET time zones. We have offices in San Francisco, CA, and Milan, Italy. We are not using our offices during the current pandemic.

The Role

You aren’t the typical marketer, and we aren’t the typical design tool company. At Botsociety we think outside the box, and we expect you to do the same. With this role you’ll get in at the ground floor in a growing tech startup.

This role comes with a lot of ownership of our marketing function and allows you to have an incredibly large impact on our organization’s most important efforts. You’ll act as the messenger between our product and the outside world. You will need to have an agile, dynamic mindset, be comfortable embracing change, a true team-player, and love working with our community, our customers, and the Botsociety team.

What you’ll do

  • Drive the design community towards Botsociety and evangelize our product
  • Organize our monthly, virtual meetups and manage all related social efforts
  • Work with our team in charge of “The Conversation Design Podcast” to reach out to potential speakers, schedule recordings, and publish new episodes
  • Write blog posts, manage our newsletter, and create video tutorials for our product
  • Participate in online communities & forums with our target audience
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure marketing effectiveness
  • Help build the foundation and process for the marketing team at Botsociety
  • Articulate and illustrate conversation design best practices

What we value

  • 1+ years of digital / product / community marketing experience in a SaaS business
  • Experience in marketing to technical audiences
  • Proven ability to grow an online community and social media presence
  • Excellent written and oral communicator, with an affinity for technical writing
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • A real entrepreneurial mindset
  • Problem solving skills, a great attitude, and a fighting spirit
  • Experience with UX/UI design principles
  • Proficiency with marketing automation tools and social media platforms
  • You work towards the best possible solution, not just the easiest one
  • You are on the PST timezone
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Bonus points if

  • You have experience with conversational interfaces
  • You have experience with Botsociety or similar tools

  • Work from Italy up to 2 / 3 weeks a year, if you would like to. If the current pandemic lasts more than a year, your weeks will be rolled over to the following year.
