I’m happy to start 2018 announcing a lot of new features! Qualitative user testing, new flowchart, better export, Slack mobile and more!
Qualitative user testing
Since its first release a couple of months ago, our user testing feature received a lot of attention and feedback. The first version of such a feature was centered around quantitative feedback from a pool of testers we selected. We have done two things:
- You can now invite your own testers, for free
- The testers will give you qualitative feedback as well as quantitative
This is an example of the dashboard you can get after 5 tests:
You will be able to check out a usability video as well as reviews of your chatbot or voice interaction. It can be an eye-opener, and it allows you to save a lot of time and money down the road.
New and more Powerful flowchart
We are redesigned our flowchart experience completely. It is now a full-screen experience, that allows you to quickly and easily navigate large mockups. You can also add new messages directly inside the flowchart, zoom and move around. Here a quick demo video:
We find it particularly useful when you need to define the high-level structure of your conversation before diving into every specific message. The flowchart is available for all the platforms we support.
Higher Quality Export
Video (Mp4 and GIF) export is one of the used features of Botsociety. We have rebuilt it from scratch, and it is now much faster to get your export, and its quality is higher. It used to take around 5 to 10 minutes to get your export, depending on the length of your mockup and the traffic we were facing at the moment. The average waiting time should now be half of that; the quality of the GIF and the video is higher. This new approach will also allow us to release new features connected to the export. We will announce them shortly!
Up until now, our users imagined Slack bots viewing a desktop interface. Something like this:
We realized that this approach was not the best. So we redesigned the Slack experience. It now focused on the mobile experience of your bot:
It is much easier to use. We may eventually reactivate the desktop preview in the future, so if you feel like you are missing it please let us know.
That’s all for today. Please feel free to leave feedback on the comments down below! As always, you can sign up for Botsociety here. Happy designing!
